ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We acknowledge the Kaurna people as the traditional custodians of this land that we live, work and learn on. We recognise that this land always was and always will be Aboriginal land and we pay our respects to elders, past, present and future.

Allenby Gardens Primary School is committed to reconciliation for all Australians. We know that we need to educate ourselves on the past to work towards a better future for all Australians.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY (ENGLISH VERSION)

We acknowledge this land we meet on today is the traditional lands for Kaurna [pronounced ‘garna’] people and that we respect their spiritual relationship with their country.

We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.
